NBA Playgrounds is an arcade sports game inspired by the NBA Street game series. It was developed by Saber Interactive, a studio mostly known for their futuristic first-person shooters like TimeShift and Inversion. In NBA Playgrounds, players take part in basketball matches. Even though the gameplay is based on classic rules, it has not much to do with reality. The players can jump incredibly high and do various tricks during those jumps.

NBA Playgrounds for PC, PS4 and etc. is an arcade sports game inspired by the NBA Street series and developed by Sabter Interactive, creators of games like Inversion or TimeShift.

Mechanics

Gameplay in NBA Playgrounds for PC, PS4 and etc. has not much to do with realism. Our players jump impossibly high, do many tricks and stunts during those jumps, and so on. Despite that, gameplay is based on actual basketball rules. Our job is to take part in streetball matches. Gameplay is arcade and semplice, making the game accessible for everybody. Nonetheless, mastering all of the game's twists and turns and moves takes some practice.

Developers managed to get a full license from NBA. Thanks to that, we can play as both the old NBA stars, like Allen Iverson, and new ones, like Steph Curry or George Hill. As we play, they get access to new abilities, allowing them to do more spectacular stunts and tricks.

Game Modes

NBA Playgrounds for {PLAT} can be played solo or with other players. Multiplayer matches can be played locally or online.

Technical Aspects

Just like gameplay, visuals in NBA Playgrounds for PC, PS4 and etc. are not even trying to be realistic. The game has a cartoonish style and the available characters available in the game are caricatures of sorts of the real NBA players. Various lighting effects are present during our matches. All of this goes well with NBA Playground's gameplay.
