A hack’n’slash action game based on Peter Jackson’s movie The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies. The game enables the player to participate in the titular battle as a supporter of one of the sides of the conflict. The player can lead a three-person team of men, elves, dwarves or orcs. Each race features various advantages and disadvantages. However, this has little meaning on the battlefield as the combat mechanics are always similar (the only exception is the elves who are using bows).

The gameplay is similar to the one present in the previous games in the series and is based on battles with thousands of participants.

The main characters of Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni are teenage female warriors that are the victims of the mysterious V virus which gave them paranormal abilities. The mechanics of Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni are similar to ones used in classic Japanese TPP hack and slash games like Devil May Cry.
