Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles - Remastered Edition is a remaster of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. The original 2004 title is the first part of the side series of the Final Fantasy series, released Nintendo consoles. Both versions were developed by Square Enix.

Plot

Following the convention of the series, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles - Remastered Edition presents its own story, unrelated in any way to other parts of Final Fantasy. Players enter a world inhabited by four races, which for thousands of years has been shrouded in a deadly poison called Miasma. The population is only able to live in settlements centered around special crystals, blocking the poison from spreading. However, the power of the crystals is constantly depleted and can only be replenished by collecting energy called myrrh, which comes from trees growing outside the villages. Therefore, the inhabitants regularly send caravans to collect myrrh, equipping the expedition members with smaller crystals to protect them from the Miasma. Among the daredevils willing to leave the safe shelter is a group from the Tipa village - their journey will turn out to be the only hope to cleanse the world of Miasma.

Gameplay

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles - Remastered Edition does not change anything in the mechanisms of the original game. The gameplay is more arcade than the classic Final Fantasy games. The game is divided into two parts. The first is an exploration of the game's world, in which you can find cities, forests, and dungeons - in the latter, there are trees containing myrrh. During the exploration, players may come across a variety of enemies. The battles against them are the second pillar of the game and take place in real time. The victory is determined not only by the statistics of characters and reflex but also by the skillful use of the abilities of individual heroes.

Game modes

The game offers the option to play alone or together with up to three friends in cooperation mode.
