Elex Video Game Series

The main attraction of the games in the series is exploration and learning about the relationships between feuding factions. The available world is sizable, fully open and diverse, allowing us to explore both green forests, hot deserts and icy mountains. Interestingly, our exploration is aided by a jetpack, allowing us to fly short distances. While traversing Magalan we have to watch out for various monsters, which sometimes we will be able to defeat only when we properly upgrade our character. We gain experience, allowing us to advance to the next level, by defeating opponents and performing tasks. We acquire the skills themselves with points from trainers, each of which has its own field of specialization (combat, crafting, magic, etc.). By searching enemies, chests and ruins scattered around the map, we acquire new equipment, utility items and those for crafting.

The story in the games in the series Elex tells the story of the world of Magalan, ravaged years ago by a falling meteorite that brought with it an unknown substance to humans - the title elex. As a result of wars over resources, the society of Magalan divided into several factions, including Berserks, Clerics and Albs, each of which uses elex in its own way (Berserks create spells from it, Clerics create technology from it, and Albs consume it, enhancing their combat abilities and losing their humanity in the process). Into the midst of this chaos comes the main character, Jax. He once belonged to the Alban faction, but was expelled from it, and as a result he has to re-establish his position in society. We can explore the plot from several perspectives, depending on which faction we decide to join. If we so wish, we will be assisted in our exploration by one companion, available from a pool of several characters. Depending on the choices we make, their opinion of us will vary.

Games in the series Elex belong to the AA segment. The not very large budget took its toll on the quality of the game's animations, although graphically they present a decent level.
