Dome Keeper PC

Dome Keeper (previously known as Dome Romantik) is a science fiction roguelike with base defense, underground exploration and resource extraction.

It was developed by indie studio Bippinbits. The two-person team from Germany has set a goal of creating games that evade the classic genre classification. They describe their work as a "mine action game". Dome Keeper is a 2D game made in a pixel art graphic style.

Plot

In Dome Keeper offers a story that is only a pretext for the subsequent challenges set by the developers. The hero of the game is an astronaut thrown to one of the inhospitable planets. From then on he has to defend the title dome - the only barrier separating him from enemies.

Gameplay

Dome Keeper is divided into two stages: repelling enemy attacks and mining resources hidden under the planet's surface. Thanks to them, we upgrade the base's defenses and our astronaut's equipment (including a faster jet pack or a more powerful drill). The game also features artifacts that open the way to special solutions, such as an elevator that makes it easier to transport resources.

Moving quickly between the tunnels and the dome is a key aspect of Doom Keeper. Successive waves of monsters invading our base force frequent returns to the surface. During combat, we can use a cannon and a huge sword - it is used for both close-range and long-range combat, thanks to the option to fire the blade.
