Dishonored Video Game Series
Dishonored is a series that combines stealth and action game elements. Using a first-person perspective, the player infiltrates the corners of a fictional world where steampunk technology mixes with magic. The series is produced by France's Arkane Studios (authors of the remake of the game Prey from 2017), and the publisher is Bethesda Softworks, known for, among other things, the popular RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
The first part of the series, Dishonored, was released in late 2012 on personal computers and Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles, with an upgraded version called Dishonored: Definitive Edition, featuring all the DLC the original received, was released a year later on PC, and in 2015 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. The full-fledged part two, Dishonored 2, was released in 2016 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A year later, the game appeared on the same platforms Dishonored: Death of the Outsider.
The essence of the gameplay is infiltrating various locations and completing missions, the goal of which is usually to get rid of a specific person. The player can achieve the goal in a number of ways: sneaking around undetected and disabling security systems, stealthily stunning or killing enemies, or murdering everyone in his way with a sword, gun, crossbow, grenades and other means of destruction. When choosing your approach, however, it's worth remembering that our actions have a significant impact on the game world and the attitude of NPCs toward us, and all tasks can be completed without killing anyone.
In addition to conventional white and ranged weapons, the player also has at his disposal supernatural powers, offered to him by a mysterious being called the Misfit (the Outsider). The arsenal of magic tricks includes teleportation, slowing down time, a special vision mode that reveals the positions and field of vision of enemies, and even the ability to summon a pack of bloodthirsty rats, attacking and devouring enemies.
Both conventional weapons and magical powers can be upgraded. Players who prefer a merciful approach to enemies can, for example, charge their crossbow with special sleeping bolts. Magical powers are improved by finding runes, helped by an artifact - a mechanical heart. The protagonist's character can also be equipped with certain bonuses by equipping bone amulets.
The first part of the series tells the story of Corvo Attano - an assassin unparalleled in his craft, serving as Lord Protector of Empress Jessamine Kaldwin. We meet the protagonist when he returns to plague-plagued Dunwall, the capital of the empire, from an important diplomatic mission. Moments after meeting the ruler, Corvo witnesses an attack by masked villains who murder the empress and kidnap her daughter Emily. The hero is falsely accused of murder and sentenced to death, and the clique behind the attack takes power in the state. Freed by a group of loyalists, Corvo sets out to rescue the empress's daughter and restore order in Dunwall. Two feature DLCs, The Knife of Dunwall i The Brigmore Witches, allow you to take on the role of Daud, the leader of the assassin gang responsible for murdering the empress.
Dishonored 2 has a fairly similar plot premise: 15 years after the events of the first part, the empire is again deprived of its rightful ruler. This time the coup is organized by the mysterious Delilah, a witch claiming to be the sister of the murdered empress Jessamine. The player can decide whether Corvo Attano or the young empress Emily Kaldwin will safely escape from Dunwall - the chosen character will be guided in the game. In addition to a new heroine, the sequel also offers a completely new place of action: the gray Dunwall has been replaced by the sun-bathed city of Karnak.
W Dishonored: Death of the Outsider we take on the role of experienced assassin Billie Lurk, who has set herself the goal of destroying the Misfit - an ancient being with divine powers, which in previous installments of the series offered the protagonists access to magic. The game's action takes place in the city of Karnak, known from part two. Death of the Outsider differs from its predecessors in, among other things, the lack of significant reactions of the game world to whether enemies are disposed of in a bloody or bloodless manner.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is an action game set in the Dishonored game universe. We play as a new protagonist, Billie Lurk. She is an assassin with supernatural powers and the right hand of Daud, one of the series' primary antagonists and the character we played as in two DLCs of the first Dishonored game. Our job is to hunt down the titular Outsider, a mysterious being that is the source of the supernatural powers used by the series' heroes. Story is nonlinear and its outcome is heavy reliant on our choices. Death of the Outsider takes us to the city of Karnaca known from Dishonored 2. We will visit many various locations during our adventures, like cultist hideouts or underground fight clubs. Gameplay mechanics did not change and are the same as in the previous games of the series. Once again we can play stealthy and be a silent assassin or attack our enemies in plain sight. As we progress, we unlock new abilities and pieces of equipment. After finishing the game, we can play it once again in the Original Game Plus mode where we have access to abilities from Dishonored 2.

A sequel to a best-selling FPP stealth game set in a universe that combines stylistics of the late Victorian era with steampunk elements. The title is a result of cooperation between Arkane Studios and the game’s publisher – Bethesda company. The sequel’s main heroine is Emily Kadwin, the daughter of the murdered empress, who joins forces with the empress’ former bodyguard Corvo, the protagonist of the previous game. The girl tries to reclaim the lost crown and take revenge on all responsible for the death of her mother. Gameplay mechanics did not change much, so you still are offered much freedom in the way you reach the game’s objectives. Depending on your preferences, you may either use stealth approach or engage in open conflicts. The game can be completed as either of the two heroes, whereas each one has slightly different abilities and fighting style. Just like the previous game, Dishonored 2 contains only single player gameplay with no cooperation mode.
