Convergence: A League of Legends Story

Conv/rgence: A League of Legends Story is a 2D fantasy platformer. It was developed by Double Stallion Games, known for games such as as Speed Brawl and Big Action Mega Fight!. The project is part of the Riot Forge initiative, Riot Games publishing games set in the League of Legends universe developed by other studios.

Plot

The game's main protagonist is Ekko, an inventor and one of the playable champions in League of Legends. Convergence tells the story of his youth.

The game is set in a polluted yet bustling underground metropolis of Zaun. Its mightiest criminal group led by chem-barons ends up destroying the city through their plots and conspiracies. Using a self-made time travel device, Ekko returns to the past, trying to save the city and its people.

Mechanics

Convergence: A League of Legends Story is a 2D platformer. The player explores different locations, gathers items, avoids traps and fights enemies. Ekko is a very agile character able to jump great distances, run on walls and perform all sorts of acrobatics.

The gameplay emphasizes combat and puzzle solving. Ekko also has unlimited use of the Zero Drive, the time-rewinding device, which lets the player rewind the game at any point, undoing all sorts of mistakes, missed jumps or attacks.

Game modes

The game only supports singleplayer.

Technical aspects

Conv/rgence: A League of Legends Story makes use of an appealing, cartoonish 2D artstyle.
