Riot Announced Action RPG The Mageseeker
Riot Forge has broken its silence and unveiled its plans for 2023, one of which is the announcement of a new 2D action RPG from the League of Legends world - The Mageseeker.
In a trailer released today (below), Riot Games shared a handful of information about the Riot Forge release plans for 2023. These include the release of a new title - The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story.
From the official website of the game we can learn that Digital Sun - creators of the warmly received Moonlighter (average rating on Metacritic: PC - 74/100, PS4 - 81, Xbox One - 84), are rosponsible for the new project. It is to be a two-dimensional RPG focused on action, in which we will play Sylas - a wizard on the run, who wants to take revenge on the Kingdom of Demacia, which persecutes spellcasters.
The first indications of this title emerged a month ago, when the Game Evaluation and Administration Committee in South Korea published its age rating (via Gematsu). The Mageseeker will be the third title released by Riot Forge, following the successful Ruined King and Hextech Mayhem.
When will we play the new titles?
Premiere of The Mageseeker is planned for this spring. The game is scheduled to be released for PC and consoles (we have no information on which exactly). In addition, the trailer announced the release dates of two other titles planned for this year: the platformer Conv/rgence - it will be released this summer - and action adventure game Song of Nunu - to be released in the fall. Exact dates have not been announced.
