Angry Birds Go!
Release Date: December 11, 2013
Racing, free-to-play, kart racing, multiplayer, singleplayer
Another incarnation of the popular Angry Birds brand, in which we take part in crazy downhill go-kart races. In the game we can direct both heroic birds and their main opponents - insidious pigs, and the fun is diversified by special abilities of the heroes and bonuses and traps scattered along the routes.
Angry Birds Go! Description
Angry Birds Go!, released on AND, iOS and WP, is another entry in an extremely popular franchise created by the Finnish company Rovio Entertainment. Unlike the previous parts of the series, Angry Birds Go! is a crazy racing game, taking place in a well-known universe. The title is also the first game of the series developed by an external developer, Exient Entertainment studio, which has already had ports of earlier versions of the series for "big" hardware platforms.
Mechanics
The action of Angry Birds Go! takes us to Piggy Island where we take part in crazy downhill go-kart races. The seemingly simple task of reaching the finish line first turns out to be much more difficult in practice, as the downhill tracks are filled with various bonuses and obstacles, which may cause both a quick promotion and a decrease in the race classification.
In Angry Birds Go!, we can take control of both the heroic birds and their main rivals - insidious pigs. In addition to the already mentioned bonuses, each character has a set of unique special skills, the proper use of which may be the key to victory.
Game modes
The competition takes place in one of the following game modes: Race, Time Boom, Fruit Splat, Ice Splat, Versus and Slalom. As the game progresses, we will advance to the next levels and unlock access to better go-kart models. There is also a possibility to participate in weekly tournaments and compete with friends from Facebook (individually or in teams of 3 players against other 3).
Technical aspects
Angry Birds Go! is done in 3D. However, it is still characterized by the cartoon style and a great sense of humor characteristic for the series. It is worth noting that the production makes use of the so-called telepods - special figures, which can be imported into the game after setting up the device in front of the webcam. Although the game itself is available for free, telepods will cost us real money.
