The Wolf Among Us: A Telltale Games Series - Season 1
Adventure
October 30, 2014
An episodic adventure game based on the popular Fables comic book series. The Wolf Among Us was developed by Telltale Games, studio that used the same mechanics as in its previous title, The Walking Dead. The protagonists are fairy creatures that were forced to look for a safe haven in the human world where they must hide their true nature. During the game the player can encounter many characters known from the comic books – including the Big Bad Wolf, Snow White or Ichabod Crane. The gameplay is focused mostly on visiting locations, conversing with NPCs, solving riddles and making hard decisions. The Wolf Among Us employs comic book-like visuals and, as usual, cel-shading.
White Night
Adventure
November 15, 2017
A third-person survival horror from the independent French studio OSome, inspired by the Alone in the Dark series. White Night takes place in 1930’s, following a hero trapped in an old family mansion that hides a dark secret of the past. Our main enemy are the dark and mysterious creatures that dwell in it, forcing us to solve many puzzles based on light and dark mechanics. Using various sources of light somewhat resembles Alan Wake, with plot and storytelling inspired by works of people like Alfred Hitchcock, David Lynch and Roman Polanski. Visuals are the most outstanding part of the game, using only black and white with many symbolic elements, referring to classic works of German expressionism.
Framed 2
Puzzle
August 16, 2017
A prequel to the first Framed, an indie puccle game developed by Australian studio Loveshack Entertainment. The game once again relies on the setting of hardboiled novels, only this time set in Asia, where the protagonist has been framed for a crime he did not commit. He has no choice, but to clear his name before he gets caught by real criminals or the police. Framed 2 employs comics panel-based narrative, constructed in a way that will allow the protagonist to get out of trouble. Finding the correct solution might often be a true challenge – before we get it, we will see a few other versions of the story, each ending tragically for our hero. All of this is presented with interesting, comic book-like visuals inspired by the noir convention.

Grim Fandango Remastered
Adventure
May 5, 2015
A remake of a legendary adventure game from Lucas Arts, known as one of the best and most original point-and-click adventure games. The new edition was developed by Double Fine Production, a studio led by Tim Schafer, the co-author of the original title. The action of the game takes place in a unique version of the afterlife, inspired by noir movies and Mexican folklore. The player assumes control of Manny, a recently deceased who takes over the honorable position of a travel agent with the Department of Death. Dissatisfied with the fact that some of the dead have to embark on a four-year journey to reach the afterlife, our hero receives a lead that turns him onto a huge bribery scandal. Manny has to follow the other souls and reach the afterlife on foot in order to uncover the mystery. Visually, the game maintains the atmosphere and the characteristic animation style seen in the original game.
Lonewolf
Action
February 5, 2016
A free-to-play sniping-themed shooter created for mobile devices. Although the game uses microtransactions, it is also available as a Premium product for a specific price. The game stands out with an well-developed noir narrative told through the cutscenes. The player assumes the role of a young sniper entering the ranks of an elite organization of contract assassins known as The Assembly. Murders he commits take their toll on the mental condition of the protagonist, and he has not joined a criminal organization without a reason. The gameplay consists of eliminating targets at long distances using a sniper rifle. When taking a shot, both gravity and wind direction have to be taken into account. However, it is not enough to shoot at everything that moves - the player has to understand the relations between the positions of the guards in order to make a progress. Thus the levels resemble puzzle solving in that aspect. The gameplay is diversified with hand-to-hand combat sequences and dynamic shoot-outs. The game offers simple visuals resembling a comic strip.
