Framed Description
Framed, released on AND and iOS, is a puzzle game developed by Loveshack Entertainment - a small studio from Melbourne, which was created, among other things, thanks to the support of the institutions of the Australian state.
In Framed, players direct the actions of a man escaping from the police. The atmosphere and graphics design bring to mind noir detective stories, and Australian developers admit to being inspired by the work of Alfred Hitchcock, the director of classic film thrillers.
Mechanics
The gameplay in Framed is about arranging the interactive elements of the comic book. After the first look at the sequence of events, you can move the puzzles with particular elements, thus changing the order of events. It should be done in such a way that the hero escapes unscathed from the law enforcers chasing him. This form of gameplay resembles the creation of a comic book from ready-made templates and combines both arcade and logical elements.
Technical aspects
The graphics in Framed is aesthetic and easy to read, and the fun evokes associations with reading (and co-creating) a comic book that is pleasing to the eye.
The production was created thanks to the financial support provided by the governmental institution of the Australian state - Screen Australia. As part of a wider program, 2.6 million dollars have been donated to various development studios, thus co-financing, among others, Framed.
