Trophy guide to Forza Horizon 4 Forza Horizon 4 Guide and Tips
Last update: 07 November 2018
This chapter contains a summary of all of the achievements available in Forza Horizon 4. Achievements can be unlocked on both Xbox One and PC (with Windows 10) versions. Thanks to Xbox Play Anywhere support, you can acquire achievements for a single account simultaneously, playing on the console and on the computer.
The basic version of Forza Horizon 4 has a total of 55. All of them are worth a total of 1,000 Gamerscore points.
Additional notes related to achievements:
- Acquiring achievements is also possible for Game Pass subscribers (14-day trial or long-term subscription). Owning a physical copy of the game is not mandatory.
- Some of the achievements might be unlocked with a slight delay. This can be due to, i.e. problems with overloaded servers. If you have performed all of the steps for a given achievement presented in the following guide and you did not get it, you do not need to repeat the whole process. Continue playing the game and wait for a message about the unlocked achievement. The delay in achievement unlocking can take from few minutes to several days (in extreme cases).
- A large portion of achievements becomes available only after completing a long introduction to the game, specifically by qualifying to the Horizon Roster. It is worth focusing on getting the qualification during the first playthrough of the game (depending on how well you are doing and how you play, it can take up to several hours).

Accomplished Driver
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: You need to advance to level 20.
Commentary: One of the easiest achievements in Forza Horizon 4. You advance to higher levels as you acquire more Influence Points. Those can be acquired by, for instance, winning races, taking part in challenges or by building up your collection of cars. You should achieve level 20 within the first few hours of the game.
An Illustrious Career
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: You need to complete 40 different Horizon Story Chapters.
Commentary: Horizon Story Chapters are special missions that can be started at designated places on the map. They are part of the Drift Club, LaRacer@Horizon, Stun Driver and World's Fastest Rentals. In each of those missions you will be controlling a pre-assigned vehicle and you need to complete a mission's objectives (i.e. reaching the destination before the time runs out, making a jump for a specific distance or collecting the required number of points for stunts).
There is a total of 40 missions, meaning that you need to complete each one of them at least once. Note that you do not need to acquire 3 stars to unlock the achievement.
Antique Restorer
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: You need to find and renovate 15 Barn Finds.
Commentary: Barn Finds is one of the categories of secrets in Forza Horizon 4. Those are discovered in the same way as in the previous installments of the franchise. You must wait until you get the information with the approximate location of the forgotten car. Reach the purple area on the map and start examining it - the drone will be perfect for this. Find the garage with the wreck and drive to it. The car will not be immediately added to your collection - you must wait until it is renovated. You will receive a new message when its renovation is finished. Once it happens, return to your home or get to Horizon headquarters and collect it in the forgotten cars menu.
To unlock this achievement, you need to find and renovate all 15 Barn Finds. The game should unlock tips concerning next Barn Finds at regular intervals. In the meantime, advance to higher levels and accumulate Influence Points.
Apex Predator
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: You need to reach Speed Zone Hero level 10.
Commentary: Speed Zone Hero is a title acquired as a reward for breaking records of average speed on tracks. Try to get the best possible results to get 3 stars and advance to higher levels quicker. At the time of promotion to a new level, several new measurement zones are added to the world map, but you can also look for them on your own.
At One with the Car
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: Apply every Car Mastery available for a single car.
Commentary: Car Masteries are abilities that can be unlocked in the game. There are separate abilities for each owned car and you can access them in the pause menu.
You need to unlock all of the Car Masteries for a single chosen car. Keep in mind that some of the vehicles (especially the Common ones) have less Car Masteries to unlock, allowing you to unlock the achievement easier. Unfortunately, even then you will need to spend about 40 points to unlock all of the Car Masteries.
Auto Barn
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: You need to find and renovate your first Bard Find.
Once it happens, return to your home or get to Horizon headquarters and collect it from the forgotten cars menu.
To unlock this achievement, you need to find and renovate only 1 of the 15 Barn Finds hidden in the game.
Bouncy Bouncy, Having Such a Good Time!
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Reach Round 10 in the Horizon Cross Country Series.
Commentary: The Cross Country Series is one of the competition categories available in the game. As you complete more races from this group, you will acquire Influence Points and advance to subsequent rounds. There is a lot of freedom here - you can take part in the newly unlocked races or repeat the old ones. Additionally, you do not need to win those races - finishing at a lower position will simply get you fewer points.
Certified Adventurer
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Qualify for a League in Ranked Team Adventure.
Commentary: This is a multiplayer-only achievement - you cannot unlock it while playing alone or in offline mode! You can join a Team Adventure game from the pause menu. At the beginning you will only have access to Unranked Team Adventure - access to Ranked Team Adventure will be unlocked after reaching level 3. Join ranked games from the moment you receive access to this mode and continue playing until you get a qualification for the league ranking.
Colossus of Roads
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Reach Round 10 in the Horizon Road Racing Series.
Commentary: The Road Racing Series is one of the competition categories available in the game. As you complete more races from this group, you will acquire Influence Points and advance to subsequent rounds. There is a lot of freedom here - you can take part in the newly unlocked races or repeat the old ones. Additionally, you do not need to win those races - finishing at a lower position will simply get you fewer points.
Coronation' Tricks
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Accumulate a Skill Chain of 195,300 or more points.
Commentary: In order to unlock this achievement, you should choose a faster car (class A or higher) that is good for off-road driving. When you are travelling quickly through the roads, you can acquire combination points for jumps, drifting, fast riding or destroying smaller elements of the environment. Avoid larger trees and rocks. If you need to extend the combination, you can help yourself by, i.e. drifting while using the handbrake.
Another method to easily acquire this achievement is to use a car designated for drift. You can then visit a remote location (like an airport) and accumulate points with longer drifts, combined with demolishing destructible objects.
Crowning Achievement
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Purchase a castle.
Commentary: This achievement is associated with the possibility of purchasing properties in Forza Horizon 4. There are two castles in the game. Bamburgh Castle costs 10 million credits and Edinburgh Castle costs 15 million credits. Try not to spend money on cars and their upgrades. Acquire the funds gradually to be able to afford one of those two castles.
Do You Know What DK Stands For?
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: Reach level 10 in the Drift Run.
Commentary: The Drift Run challenges are available during your exploration of the game's world. In each of those locations you can acquire points by drifting and be rewarded with stars (from 1 to 3, depending on the amount of points you acquire). Try to get the best results to acquire 3 stars each time and advance to higher levels faster. Once you advance to a higher rank, several new drift locations are added to the world map, but you can also find them on your own.
First Love
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: You need to purchase your first car from the Autoshow.
Commentary: The Autoshow can be visited after getting back to the Horizon headquarters or to one of your properties. You can purchase any car you want. If you want to unlock this achievement quickly, you can purchase one of the cheapest cars offered there (you can sort them by price).
First-Time Adventurer
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: Complete your first Team Adventure.
Commentary: This is a multiplayer-only achievement - you cannot acquire it by playing alone or in offline mode! You can join the Team Adventure from the pause menu. To acquire the achievement, you need to play a Team Adventure race, one that is not linked with the ranked mode. It must be a public match and must be played to the end - only then you will receive the achievement.
Go the Distance
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Win a race at The Colossus, The Gauntlet, The Titan or The Marathon.
Commentary: Those races are unlocked once you advance to a specific level in a given category:
- The Colossus is unlocked once you achieve level 10 in Road Racing.
- The Gauntlet is unlocked once you achieve level 8 in Drift Racing.
- The Titan is unlocked once you achieve level 8 in Cross Country.
- The Marathon is unlocked once you achieve level 9 in Street Scene.
For the purpose of unlocking this achievement, you need to win only one of the four mentioned races. Those races are longer, but you can freely change their settings. If you want to win easily, you can lower the difficulty level and pick a car that is easier to drive.
Ground Force
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Get 3 stars at a Danger Sign in a vehicle from the Trucks Car Type.
Commentary: Danger Signs are one of the PR Stunts associated with jumps. You can use any of the trucks, like the 2014 Mercedes-Benz Unimog U5023. Try to improve the purchased vehicle to improve its performance and chose one of the simplest Danger Signs, like the one located closest to the Horizon festival center.
Hatch Me If You Can
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Complete the Festival Drag Strip in a Hot Hatch in less than 25 seconds.
Commentary: The drag race track can be found next to the Horizon festival center. The game does not force you to acquire the achievement by using a vehicle from the specific class (i.e. B). This means that you can select a car from the Hot Hatch category (i.e. Ford Fiesta ST) and fully upgrade it (to reach, for instance, the S1 class). This will help you complete the entire straight line in less than 25 seconds.
Important note - the selected car must be from the Hot Hatch group. It cannot be from the Retro Hot Hatch or Super Hot Hatch categories.
Note - do not create a separate Blueprint when starting the Drag Strip race. Select the race available by default from the Hot Hatch group.
Hit the Jackpot
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: Spin your first Super Wheelspin.
Commentary: The Super Wheelspin is the rarer type of a regular Wheelspin. It is best to wait until you acquire this Super Wheelspin as a type of reward for making progress in the game. You can also purchase it for 150,000 Credits.
Horizon Fashion Week
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Unlock 100 clothing items for your characters.
Commentary: Wheelspins are your main source of getting new types of clothing. Those are also acquired as rewards for making progress in the game and rewards in the #FORZATHON store. You don't have to pay much attention to this achievement - as you progress in the game, you will gradually accumulate more clothing items, eventually exceeding the required number.
Horizon Superstar
Gamerscore points: 50
How to unlock: Gain Superstar Status by reaching level 200.
Commentary: The achievement is quite straightforward, but reaching level 200 will take you several dozens of hours. As a reminder, you will advance to higher levels by acquiring Influence Points - those are gained by, i.e. completing races, taking part in challenges and building up your collection of cars.
Human After All
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Complete 5 PvP races.
Commentary: This is a multiplayer-only achievement - you cannot acquire it by playing alone or in offline mode! As you start a competition, you can mark it as PvP and defeat another player (picked up through the matchmaking system or from your friends list). Head to Head challenges are also counted here. You need to play 5 PvP races to unlock this achievement.
Note - the game does not force you to win any of the 5 races. You can finish the race at any position.
I Feel the Need
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: Reach Speed Trap Hero level 10.
Commentary: The Speed Trap Hero is a title awarded for breaking the speed records while passing by speed cameras. Try to get the best results to acquire 3 stars and advance to higher levels quicker. Once you advance to a higher level, several new locations of speed cameras are added to the world map, but you can also find them on your own.
I Live My Life...
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Reach Round 10 in the Horizon Drag Racing Series.
Commentary: The Drag Racing Series is one of the competition categories available in the game. As you complete more races from this group, you will acquire Influence Points and advance to subsequent rounds. There is a lot of freedom here - you can take part in the newly unlocked races or repeat the old ones. Additionally, you do not need to win those races - finishing at a lower position will simply get you fewer points.
Jolly Cooperation
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Complete 5 Horizon Life Co-op Races.
Commentary: This is a multiplayer-only achievement - you cannot acquire it by playing alone or in offline mode! When the race starts, the game gives you the option to play it alone or in co-op with other players. Always choose the latter variant. At least one player must join the game (via the matchmaking or from the friends list) and you need to play through the entire race for it to be counted. Repeat the process at least 4 more times.
Note - the game does not force you to win any of the 5 races. You can finish the race at any position.
Life of the Party
Gamerscore points: 30
How to unlock: Take part in 20 #FORZATHON Live Events, completing at least Round 1 in each.
Commentary: This is a multiplayer-only achievement - you cannot acquire it by playing alone or in offline mode! You should get an invitation to the #FORZATHON event every hour during the free ride in Horizon Life mode. You need to reach the designated area on the map to start the event. #FORZATHON Live events are composed of several rounds, but you just need to finish the first one - you can leave as soon as you are done with it. This is the best method to acquire this achievement if you want to do it quick.
Master of Many
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Apply 50 Car Masteries.
Commentary: Car Masteries are abilities that can be unlocked in the game. Those are separate for every car you own and you can access them through the pause menu.
The described achievement is not difficult to unlock. Ability points you acquire should be spent to unlock Masteries of different cars. Additionally, it is worth to pick those abilities that require only 1 point to unlock.
Moonlighting
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Reach Round 10 of Street Scene.
Commentary: Street Scene is one of the competition categories available in the game. As you complete more races from this group, you will acquire Influence Points and advance to subsequent rounds. There is a lot of freedom here - you can take part in the newly unlocked races or repeat the old ones. Additionally, you do not need to win those races - finishing at a lower position will simply get you fewer points.
Muddied
Gamerscore points: 20

Commentary: Dirt Racing Series is one of the competition categories available in the game. As you complete more races from this group, you will acquire Influence Points and advance to subsequent rounds. There is a lot of freedom here - you can take part in the newly unlocked races or repeat the old ones. Additionally, you do not need to win those races - finishing at a lower position will simply get you fewer points.
Never Tell Me the Odds
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Win a race in the Peel P50.
Commentary: Peel P50 is not available in the shop. This is one of the Barn Finds found scattered in garages throughout the world map. Find that vehicle and wait until it is renovated. Afterwards, select a short race and lower the difficulty level to the easiest one.
Official Horizon Board Game
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Smash all 200 Bonus Boards.
Commentary: Bonus Boards are secrets scattered around the entire map. For this achievement, you need to destroy all 200 of them. They will appear once you get close enough to them. There are 150 Influence Boards and 50 Fast Travel Boards to find and destroy.
Optional Extras
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: Apply your first Car Mastery.
Commentary: Car Masteries are perks that are unlocked separately for each car by accumulating Influence Points. Once you acquire at least one such point, pause the game, head to the Cars tab and to the perk tab. Unlocking the first perk always costs 1 ability point. It makes this achievement one of the earlier ones to unlock.
Overachiever
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: Complete a Season PR Stunt and receive a reward.
Commentary: Season PR Stunts are a more difficult version of regular stunts. As a reminder, stunts are challenges on the map that are about, i.e. breaking the speed records or performing long jumps. You can use the world map filters to show only the season stunts - in most cases only a single one of that type will be available at a given moment. Season PR Stunts are more demanding than those requiring you to get 3 stars in the regular shows. For the sake of season stunts, you should be using the best available cars in the game (i.e. the fastest cars when trying to break speed records).
Note - if you cannot complete the currently available Season PR Stunts, wait for the game to unlock another one.
Pilot's Licence
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: Reach Danger Sign Hero level 10.
Commentary: Danger Sign Hero is a title awarded for breaking records of long-distance jumps performed with vehicles. Try to get the best results to acquire 3 stars each time and advance to higher levels faster. Once you advance to a higher rank, the game will add several new jump locations. However, you can also find them on your own.
Pride Before the Fall
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: Qualify for Horizon Autumn.
Commentary: This is one of several achievements available in the game associated with "testing" the various seasons for the first time. During the fairly extensive introduction to the Forza Horizon 4's campaign, focus on accumulating Influence Points. Once you reach a certain amount of those points, the game will change the current season to the next one (according to the calendar).
Purple Split
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: In Rivals, beat a Rival without receiving a "dirty time" penalty.
Commentary: The Rivals game mode allows you to beat the results obtained by other players. You can choose it when starting a race. The game always recommends an opponent with a slightly better result than the one you managed to obtain in the last race. This is why it is worth to go slower during the first ride. Additionally, you should be most interested in the Drag races, which practically eliminate the risks of getting a penalty for an unclean lap, i.e. for driving outside the established route.
Reaping the Rewards
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Complete a race of 3 or more laps at the Goliath in a Forza Edition car.
Commentary: The first step is to get a Forza Edition car - it is best to just wait until it is drawn from one of the Super Wheelspins. Afterwards, you need to advance to level 20 of Road Racing Series, which in turn unlocks The Goliath race. This is the longest track available in the game, during which you travel virtually through the entire map. Fortunately, this achievement is fairly easy, as you do not need to win the race, you can set any difficulty level for the opponents and you can prepare your own Blueprint (car category, season, weather conditions, etc.) of the race, to better suit your preferences. Remember to set at least 3 laps.
Record Breaker
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Get 258mph on a Speed Trap in the Bugatti Veyron Super Short.
Commentary: The most important step is getting the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. You can either purchase it or wait until you are lucky and it is drawn as a prize. Initially, Veyron can have problems with reaching the required speed of 285 mph (413kph). It is worth to modify its settings in the tuning tab to increase its maximum speed. As for the Speed Trap map location, you should choose the one located on the M68 motorway. It guarantees a very long straight line where you can easily develop the required speed.
Snow Problem
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: Qualify for Horizon Winter.
Commentary: This is one of several achievements available in the game associated with "testing" the various seasons for the first time. During the fairly extensive introduction to the Forza Horizon 4 campaign, focus on accumulating Influence Points. Once you reach a certain threshold of those points, the game will change the current season to the next one (according to the calendar).
Special Edition
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: Get your first Forza Edition car from a Wheelspin.
Commentary: Forza Edition cars are special variations of the selected cars available in the game. Aside from better performances, they offer bonuses - like an getting more skill points. The best chance of getting a car from Forza Edition appears during the Super Wheelspins - you can receive this Wheelspin thanks by making enough progress in the game or you can purchase it for 150,000 Credits.
Spring Into Action
Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: Qualify for Horizon Spring.
Commentary: This is one of several achievements available in the game associated with "testing" the various seasons for the first time. Once you reach a certain threshold of those points, the game will change the current season to the next one (according to the calendar).
Star Centurion
Gamerscore points: 50
How to unlock: Get 100 stars in Horizon Stories.
Commentary: Horizon Stories are special missions that can be started at designated places on the map. They are part of the Drift Club, LaRacer@Horizon, Stun Driver and World's Fastest Rentals. In each of those missions you will be controlling a pre-assigned vehicle and you need to complete the mission objectives (i.e. reaching a destination before the time runs out, making a jump for a specific distance or collecting the required number of points for stunts).
There are 40 missions of that type available in the game and in each of them you can get from 1 to 3 stars. It means that you can get a maximum of 120 stars and that you do not have to get 3 stars from every single mission. You can afford to get one or two stars in those missions that cause you a lot of problems.
Stunt Superhero
Gamerscore points: 50
How to unlock: Get 3 stars on every PR Stunt.
Commentary: This is one of the most difficult and time-consuming achievements to unlock in the game. PR Stunts are challenges that appear on the world map. They come in four different forms:
- Danger Sign - you need to perform a jump for a specified distance.
- Drift Zones - you need to accumulate a specific amount of points during a drift.
- Speed Zone - you need to acquire a specific average speed on a track.
- Speed Trap - you need to reach a specific speed when passing by a speed camera.
Try to get the best possible cars for each of those categories - this will drastically increase your chances of getting 3 stars. Keep in mind that initially only a portion of PR Stuns will be visible on the map - you can discover more on your own or wait until they are automatically added to the world map as you progress through the game.
Taking the Grand Tour
Gamerscore points: 20

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Complete Round 3 of a #FORZATHON Live Event.
Commentary: This is a multiplayer-only achievement - you cannot unlock it while playing alone or in offline mode! You should get an invitation for the #FORZATHON Live during the free ride in the Horizon Life game mode. For the sake of this achievement, you must complete three rounds, i.e. complete three consecutive challenges with other players. This achievement is easier to get when playing with friends. In the case of a game with unknown players selected via the matchmaking system, you must be paired with people that are also willing to work on completing the successively acquired challenges.
Test Your Might
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Complete the Trial.
Commentary: Trial races are a variation of the Seasonal Championship available in the game. Choose any championship from the Trial category and finish it. You do not need to win the championship - you just have to reach the finish line in all of the races that are included in it.
The Noisy Cartographer
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Drive down every road in Britain.
Commentary: There are 531 roads available in the game and you need to drive through all of them for the sake of this achievement. Finding some of the missing roads after you discovered the majority of them is the most problematic aspect of this challenge. The game marks the roads that you have already driven through. Look for short roads, especially those on off-road terrain (like roads leading to properties). When browsing the map, you should also turn off all of the race markers, challenges, etc.
The Spirit of Adventure

You should get an invitation for the #FORZATHON Live during the free ride in the Horizon Life game mode. Reach the specified location to play it. This competition is composed of several rounds, during which you will be completing different tasks. You will unlock the achievement regardless of how well you are performing.
Tortoise and the Hare
Gamerscore points: 20
How to unlock: Complete a PvP Showdown Race in an X class and a D class car.
Commentary: This is a multiplayer-only achievement - you cannot unlock it while playing alone or in offline mode! Once the competition starts, you need to switch it to PvP mode. Note that you do not have to win any of those races.

Gamerscore points: 10
How to unlock: Complete a #FORZATHON Weekly Challenge.
Commentary: The #FORZATHON Weekly Challenges can be checked from the pause menu. The main challenge, changing each week, is associated with this achievement.
