You now need to head towards the locked entrance to the mine, which you pass by, while taking the longer route to the church. While next to the dam, at the house of the Carters, go towards the tunnel chiseled in the rock, along the coastline. Once you cross another tunnel, the road will fork. Keep to the right branch, until you notice a you see the hill and the locked entrance. You cannot enter the mine this way - instead, you need to go right, to the path upwards. There, on the right, you will notice a big boulder with the caption enter next to.

Walk inside - at first the path is linear and you cannot lose your directions, the tunnels to the side are very short. You need to reach the elevator that will take you to a lower level. After you walk out of the elevator, you will reach a cave with railway tracks, where you need to solve another crime.

In the cave on the right, there is a pickaxe stand - inspect it. After you have directed the camera correctly, and arranged the scattered words, start the vision mode - you will see the place, where there is the missing pickaxe (as of now, it is dark).

Next to the stand, there is an elevator shaft. You need to start the elevator. On the left, there is a control panel - select up. The elevator will emerge from the water, inside, you will see the corpse of a woman - inspect it.

Follow the tracks outside of the room. At the fork, you will note a mining steam engine, behind a heap of rubble. Enter the engine and start it.

Back the machine up, as far as possible, and then go forward. Cut through the obstacle. Drive around the pickaxe stand and the elevator, until you exit the cave. After a while, on the left, you will notice a pickaxe stuck in the power box.

Stop the engine, collect the tool and return to the stand next to the elevator. Put the pickaxe in place - the option to fix.

Now, approach the corpse and touch it - again, there will appear light beams that you need to approach to start arranging the events in the chronological order. All of them are within the loop of the tracks so, there will be no problem finding them. The correct order is:

1. Missy and Dale at the entrance into the room.

2. Missy in the elevator, Dale standing opposite.

3. Dale at the elevator's control panel.

4. Dale at the pickaxe stand.

5. Dale with the pickaxe in his hand.

This way, you discover another dark secret of the Carters. Return to the engine.
