Here, you encounter the first one of the series of puzzles, which consists in determining the tragic events in the Red Creek Valley. The pattern is always the same - you need to restore the crime scene to its previous condition, which means that you need to place the items where they used to be, before the crime, and to determine the chronology of events.

Along the tracks, you will reach the bridge with an old trolley at the other end. At the front, on the right, you can find blood stains , use the option to inspect. Paul will notice a missing crank. To locate it, you need to keep turning around, up until the floating Crank words make up one. Hold down the interaction button and a portal will open - note the location of the item that you are looking for.

Along your path, you will also note a rope (1), severed legs (2), corpse (3), a canister and a place where the trolley used to stand (4). as you follow, you will notice a heap of rocks and a hole (5).

Follow the bloodstains and follow the path that the corpse used to be on, come down to the shore and collect the crank. Return to the trolley, approach the crankshaft in front of it and use the fix command. Now, keep taping the action button to start the engine. Enter the trolley and move the vehicle into its previous location, using the bar on the left (the dried out grass, next to the canister).

On the left side of the tracks, there is a small heap of stones and a hole, from which a stone was removed. Use the "inspect" command. Just like in the case of the crank, Paula Prospero's sixth sense will allow you to locate the stone.

You will find the stone next to the tree trunk to the left of the trolley (assuming that you have stopped it in the correct location). Take the stone back to where it used to be.

You have restored the crime scene to its previous condition. Touch the corpse - this way, you will learn about the last moments of the deceased. Follow the beams of light that left his body - approach each spot that they landed on, thanks to which you will see a number of scenes frozen in time. In this case, there are six of them. You need to put them in correct order, by approaching each one. The correct solution:

1. Travis and Ethan tied to the tracks.

2. Ed picking up the stone.

3. Ed talks to Travis.

4. Travis kneeling on the tracks.

5. Ed and Ethan kneeling over Travis.

6. Ed with the crank over the dying Travis.

Note: events 1 and 2 may be switched.

Not only can the dead show you their last moments, but also the moment right after their death. Follow the beam of light (the path downwards, towards the shore). Once you approach the spot, where it falls, you will see a dialog and the game will save.
