Basic aircraft functions
Mastering aircraft controls in Enlisted takes a lot of practice, but the following tips will speed up your progress:
- The basic flying maneuver is to tilt the vehicle to the left or right. This lets you perform a spin to quickly turn the plane around. Mastering this maneuver is extremely important, because it's all too easy to steer the aircraft outside of the map zone, which kills you after a few seconds.
- It's also important to skillfully lower and raise the aircraft. You can lower the vehicle by pointing its nose down, and you can raise it by pointing the nose up.
- At your disposal are three methods to combat your enemies - the main rifle, rockets and bombs. When facing other aircraft, the main rifle is the most effective. When it comes to attacking enemies on the ground, all weapons are effective, but bombs and rockets let you kill enemies en masse.
- In the air, you will have to face enemy aircraft. Constantly look around to keep an eye on your opponents' position. It's a good idea to fly at a lower altitude than the enemy planes. This will make you harder to spot and you will have an easier time destroying enemy vehicles. By staying behind enemy aircraft and at a lower altitude, you will often cause the enemy to be unable to determine the direction of the incoming fire.
- In addition to destroying enemy aircraft, you should also try to support your allies fighting on the ground. From time to time, fire a volley of shots, launch a rocket or drop a bomb in a location that could potentially harbour enemies. A large number of enemies usually resides at a point they have recently captured. You can also lower the plane to look arount for enemies or ally markers.
Dropping bombs
?
A well-aimed bomb can kill up to dozens of enemies.
Dropping a bomb at just the right time can eliminate many enemies and change the course of the battle. However, you need to know how to do it correctly. First of all - it's best to drop bombs from low altitude and at low speed. Lowering your altitude will provide better accuracy and low speed lets you return to a higher altitude safely. If you lower the plane at too high a speed, you may be unable to return to a safe altitude and end up crashing the vehicle to the ground. The bomb's dropping location is just as important. It's best to drop them in areas with large numbers of enemies, as indicated by your allies, to ensure that the bombs are effective. However, this isn't always an option, so you often have to estimate the enemy's position yourself. Spawn points and control points that are currently being captured by enemies are prime bombing locations. Additionally, you should also pay attention to the area around enemy control points - players are often hiding nearby to protect the points when necessary.
