The Division 2: Warlords of New York in a nutshell

This is a big expansion for Tom Clancy's The Division 2, a looter-shooter from Ubisoft, in which players, either solo or in team, roam the streets Washington D.C. after a terrible pandemic, where terrorist factions are trying to take advantage of the chaos and make any profit they can. The add-on takes us back to New York City (like in the original game). It requires the core version of The Division 2.

What's the storyline of Warlords of New York?

In the expansion, we will face Aaron Keener – a rogue Division agent who decided to obtain a more dangerous strain of the virus that ravaged the United States. Our task is to prevent him from gaining full control of the city – to do this, we will first have to defeat his four colonels.

What's new?

The main attraction of Warlords of New York will be the new location, the New York city, quite a lot different than it was in the first game. The level cap will also be increased (up to 40), and more transparent equipment parameters will make character creation more convenient. In addition, we will certainly get a significant set of new missions and loot.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

The development of The Division never seems to be following our expectations. When everyone was waiting for the expansion of the map of New York, all we got were new game modes. Now, when many are waiting for the return of the Survival mode, the game gets new locations in Manhattan. I really hope that the expansion will be more than just a set of regular, complete-and-forget killrooms. But so far, chances for getting a more substantial DLC are quite good. However, out of curiosity and a slight nostalgia for the snowy New York, I will gladly return "to the old garbage" to check out the conclusion of the story of The Division.
