Everlasting Summer

  1. Genre: visual novel
  2. System requirements: Android 2.3.3 or later
  3. Microtransactions: none!
  4. In essence: USSR boy scouts in Japanese aesthetics

Okay, visual novel games are not your default genre. However, this doesn't mean they can't be intriguing and encourage discovering secrets. That's because these games are all about interesting stories, and that's where they get their considerable popularity from. Everlasting Summer tells about scouts from the USSR, in a Japanese style. The main character wakes up at a summer camp, although he fell asleep in the winter on a bus.

This alone should be a good recommendation. How was it possible to create such a mix that – surprisingly – works? The plot makes an unusual twist at some point, and nothing will be the same afterwards. Everlasting Summer is great at building tension, presenting more and more interesting characters, and slowly revealing its secrets. Although some of them would better remain hidden forever...
