Cat Bird

  1. Genre: platformer
  2. System requirements: Android 4.4 or later
  3. Microtransactions: optional, mainly for disabling advertisements
  4. In essence: a cat that's a bird

Is it a bird? Is it a cat? No, it's a cat-bird, the protagonist of the game Cat Bird, which is more like a combination of a bat and a cat, but maybe I don't see these pixels right. What matters is that we're dealing with a beautiful, classic platformer that draws handfuls from Super Meat Boy. Again, the levels are full of deadly traps. The only way that our cat-bird can even try to beat these levels is because it can fly, which works extremely well on a phone. And take my word for it – it doesn't make the task that much easier!

As for the story, don't worry about it. The protagonist tries to return home, so it has to travel through lands in different worlds, where many dangers await. In total, the game offers over fifty levels, there's also a place for battles with four bosses. This production is worth giving a chance mainly due to the audiovisual setting and the pleasure resulting from the simple controls.
