The morality of Red Dead Redemption 2's Arthur Morgan is reflected in the honor index. It grows when we do good deeds – such as greeting NPCs we meet, helping those in need, donating and doing chores in the camp, as well as making certain decisions in the story – and decreases when we kill innocent folk and animals, rob people, etc.
This system has a relatively small impact on the game. High honor index is rewarded mainly with lower prices at traders. Interestingly, we will not reach its maximum value until the fifth or sixth chapter of the game, because Arthur Morgan is not good enough as a person up until that moment. However, if he tried to do the right thing, he would have the option of partially redeeming his sins and accessing the "Do Not Seek Absolution" quest at the end of the adventure.
