An unusual universe
The game by German studio KING Art Games stands out with its extraordinary world. It is the 1920+ universe created by Jakub Rózalski. A place where World War I-era technology is accompanied by powerful, dieselpunk mechs, all of which is set across the backdrop of Polish villages from the early 1900s. In such circumstances, three fictional states modeled on Russia, Germany, and Poland are on the brink of war, and we will have to lead one of them to victory in three different campaigns.
What will Iron Harvest be?
Iron Harvest represents the somewhat forgotten genre of real-time strategy. The gameplay mechanics here are similar to those of Company of Heroes, so it is mainly military operations rather than base expansion, although the latter will also be present in the game. In addition to the traditional single-player experience, there is also a multiplayer mode and the ability to play in co-op.
WHY AM I WAITING?
When it comes to KING Art strategy, I remain moderately optimistic. According to some reports, it won't be RTS for the real hardcore players who can pick up the gauntlet thrown by a Korean with StarCraft-trained reflexes. On the other hand, I don't give a damn. In the game, there is a familiar vibe to Rózalski's art, and you can see the large dieselpunk mechs taken straight from his paintings. If the gameplay is just fine and the plot succeeds, then I'm in.
