Curious Expedition

INFORMATION

  1. Size: approx. 150 MB
  2. Released in: 2016
  3. Genre: roguelike
  4. Platforms: PC, PS4, XONE, Switch

Another roguelike in the list allows you to plan and manage expeditions of the XIX century, exploring such mythical places as Atlantis or El Dorado. A procedurally generated and hex-based world can be explored on board a ship, and after reaching the mainland, further gameplay mechanics resemble the ones from adventure games. Traveling through unknown lands, players trade with local natives, fight numerous dangers, and, of course, look for valuable treasures.

When planning expeditions, players must take into account the budget, food and water supplies, and deal with the limited load capacity of draught animals. In our team, on the contrary, there is a place for names well known from historical books-Nikola Tesla (who fights with the help of an electric coil), Charles Darwin, and Marie Curie. The commander selected by the player cannot die, however, his companions can - for ever.
