What kind of a game is it?
The Medium is a horror created by the Polish studio Bloober Team – the authors of the well-received Observer, Blair Witch and Layers of Fear series. In the latest production of these developers, we will play as Marianna, who is a medium able to see the world of ghosts, and during the course of the game we will try to solve the mystery of the death of a child. Interestingly, the action of the game will take place in 1990s Cracow - thanks to this, you will easily recognize trademark places, such as the Market Square, St. Mary's church, or Hotel Cracovia.
What to expect from this title?
At first glance, The Medium appears to be a classic horror, in which we observe the action from a third-person view, explore climactic locations, and escape dangers. However, the Polish creators decided to introduce interesting mechanics, thanks to which the heroine will be able to freely move between two worlds. This will allow us to design interesting environmental puzzles that will require a slightly different approach than usual, which together with the dark climate could result in one of the better horror games of the year.
