Continuing the plotline and bringing back the good old crew. Our Mafia III wishlist

Many things can be said about the franchise, but of one we can be sure – the story is hellishly captivating, especially in the excellent Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven. While the latest game wasn’t continuous in narration, and many questions were left unanswered, it doesn’t have to be a bad thing. The unfinished plotlines, like those of Joe Barbero or Vito Scaletta, make for a great starting point for ‘part three’, and we can only hope that the developers decide on continuing them. What happened to our pals once the cars got separated? Where did they go? Are they still alive? Do they belong to the same family, or were they forced to switch sides? The ending of Mafia II doesn’t clarify any of it, leaving the fans with endless speculations. A brand new protagonist is not out of the question, but it seems all of us desperately want to know what happened to the duo.

We certainly want to see those two gentlemen in action again.

A comeback, or a mere cameo, of Vito and Joe is not the only reference to the past events we would welcome with open arms in Mafia III. The story crafted by 2K was rich in amazingly charismatic characters, whose return could only serve to elevate the tension. What would You say to a return of Harry Angelo and his daughter? Was Leo Galante’s ‘treason’ unpunished? Did the alcoholic Eddie Scarpa lay off the booze and finally became the Don? The fates of many characters featured in both Mafia games remain unknown, and we can only hope that at least some of them will make a comeback and play a significant role in the development of the plot.
