What is Ghostrunner?
We're getting Cyberpunk 2077 in November, but that doesn't mean October won't offer similar climates. Ghostrunner takes us to a world ravaged by global cataclysm. Humanity's last stand is a giant tower. Society is strongly stratified, with the position in the hierarchy determined by the implants people get as kids. On top of that, streets are full of poverty, and governments are not making things any easier for anyone but themselves. Sounds like about time to pick up the baseball bat and rebel!
What to expect from this title?
In Ghostrunner, we'll do justice with power whip and other such melee weapons. We're going to make the most of the dexterity of the hero, able to perform some crazy stunts – no obstacle is insurmountable, and any element of the surroundings can be used to our advantage. That's pretty much what the game's dynamic clashes will offer. Interestingly, some of the clashes will be possible to bypass, and some enemies can be killed silently – determining the playstyle will be up to us. At the same time, the creators ensured that fights would not be too lengthy – skilled players will be often able to kill enemies with one hit.
OUR EXPECTATIONS
In November, we're getting one of the most important releases of recent years, Cyberpunk 2077, but a month earlier, another Polish studio will offer a different game in cyberpunk setting. After the demo, there's no doubt Ghostrunner will be a very interesting production. Combining free running from Mirror's Edge on steroids with a demanding combat system that can end your life with a single attack. Add to that in that great vibe and music, and we can count on a real gem, as long as the authors are able to keep the challenges fresh throughout the campaign.
