The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Players show developers how to make games
Table of Contents
There's nothing to hide – The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt doesn't offer support for mods at the level we expected. I had very much hoped that in this respect the latest installment of Geralt's adventures would at least get a little closer to Skyrim. After all, the Witcher world has a huge potential, and the post-premiere support of the fans would certainly benefit the longevity of this production. Unfortunately, that didn't happen – ModKit released by CD Projekt RED does not allow for much.
Despite limited capabilities, modders dug everything they could out of the game code, and Wild Hunt ranks fairly high in the Nexus Mods portal ranking in terms of the number of downloads (only giving way to Bethesda's games). So what can we find here? Above all, improvements and graphical tweaks – these types of mods seem to be in majority. There are also some additional content and changes in mechanics – a few new items, improved gameplay balance, and increased immersion levels.
