The well-received Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was released for Nintendo Switch in 2017. The Definitive Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles was prepared by the original creators from Monolith studio, who will offer not only a revised visual setting, but also a refreshed soundtrack and a playable epilogue not available in the original, titled Future Connected.

The game's action takes place in an unusual fantasy world inhabited by humans and mechanized beings. Each race occupies the body of one of the two gods who long ago fought a fierce battle with each other. The main character is an eighteen-year-old Sheik whose hometown has been destroyed by a hostile race in the past.
