Srsly's Complete Cooking Overhaul
The cooking mechanics in The Sims 4 have been simplified greatly. Our sims don't have to worry about ingredients - you simply select the dish and after preparing, it is ready to eat. The Srsly's Complete Cooking Overhaul mod introduces more sophisticated dish-making mechanics. From now on, preparing each dish starts with ingredient shopping.
What about us that do not enjoy cooking?
However, if at some point you'll get bored of constantly buying eggs and spinach, you can use the old mechanics of preparing a dish without having to provide required ingredients. Remember, it is a matter of money - the faster way of preparing dishes translates into a higher cost.
The mod simply changes the approach to dish preparation. Clicking on the fridge or oven is not enough - first you need to have the right ingredients. These are bought through a computer. The store is quite extensive and includes all known products, but there are some novelties, as the mod introduces several new dishes. Once purchased, the ingredients can be turned into a delicious treat - this small change adds a lot of realism to the game.
