Dread Hunger starts with a poker hand and the game is played under 5 card draw rules. At the moment of presenting the cards, the player with the strongest hand of cards wins.
How to play?
At the beginning each Player receives 5 cards and can decide which cards they want to exchange (scroll between the cards with the mouse wheel) - there's about 30 seconds to do it. You can exchange a maximum of 5 cards, after which you have to wait, but of course, you don't have to do this if the hand is satisfactory. The player with the strongest hand wins .
Hierarchy of card layouts :
- Royal Flush: card combination of A, K, Q, J, 10 - all of the same suit.
- Poker (Straight Flush): Five cards in a row of the same suit (e.g. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6).
- Four of a kind: Four cards of identical value, such as 4 tens or figures. If two players play a four-of-a-kind, the one with the highest cards in the hierarchy wins.
- Full (Full House): three cards of the same value two cards of the same value, such as three cards of Kings and two cards of Nines. If two players have a Full House, the one with the higher cards in the three-of-a-kind wins first. If the three-of-a-kind in both Players are the same card, the winner is the holder of the higher two.
- Flush: five cards of the same suit. In the case of a flush, the Player whose flush contains a card higher than the opponent's wins.
- Straight: Five cards of different suits, but in order, eg King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9. In the case of this hand, the winner is the Player whose Straight consists of the higher ranked cards.
- Three of a kind: Three cards of the same value, e.g. three Queens, three tens, etc. The winning player is the one with the higher three-of-a-kind.
- Two pairs: A hand that consists of two pairs with the same values, such as two Aces and two Kings.
- One pair: Two cards of the same value, such as two jacks.
- High card: The weakest hand in poker and only applies when no players have any of the above-mentioned hands. In this case, the player with the highest card in his hand wins.
