GoldenEye: Source is a total conversion modification of Half-Life 2 created by small, but dedicated group calling themselves simply Team GoldenEye: Source It is a fan made artistic recreation, released for free, with a primary goal in mind; To bring the memories and experiences from the original GoldenEye64 back to life using Source' Orange Box Technology. As one of the premier and consistently released HL2 mods, GE:S has been seen out and about, reviewed by the best, and played by hundreds and thousands of PC gamers.
The project replaces pretty much all elements from original game. It offers dozens of maps and weapons. New characters, as well as heavily modified gameplay mechanics. All of that was done in extreme high quality, rivaling many commercial titles.
The mod has it’s own installer.
