In the beginning of your gameplay in Cube World you will have to create a main hero. In order to customize a new character to your preferences, game developers have not only prepared the possibility to choose a gender or hair color of your hero, but also his/her race.

As for now, there are eight playable races that do not have any passive abilities. All of the differ in terms of looks and come as males and females. During the race selection, it Is possible to define facial features and hair of the character. In the current version of the game, the choice is purely cosmetic.

List of races available in Cube World:

1. Human
2. Elf
3. Dwarf
4. Lizardman
5. Goblin
6. Orc
7. Undead
8. Frogman

It should also be noted that all of the abovementioned (and other) races can be encountered throughout the game in two variants.

These can be friendly NPCs that will help you in fight if they are around, or bandits that will attack you on sight.

The hostile NPCs, more often than the other monsters, drop items that can be later on sold for profit.

Each one of such NPCs can be of one of the classes available for the player during the character creation, or other - an unavailable one.

Description of races

As we wrote above, there are 8 character races available in the game. They only differ in the appearance and have a cosmetic value.

Human

1. They have hair that can be changed in style and colour;
2. Men can have a beard;
3. You'll meet them in the cities.
4. Humans have the largest number of hairstyles and faces available, so you can create your perfect hero.

Elf

1. Every elf has pointed ears;
2. They have different hairstyles than humans;
3. You won't meet them in the dungeons.

Dwarf

1. They're of very low height.
2. Males have beards.
3. Females have long braids.

Lizardman

1. They are green in color and have scales;
2. Women have long eyelashes and short jaws.

Goblin

1. They are very low;
2. You will meet them mainly in the woods or in the jungle;
3. They appear in groups.

Orc

1. They are the largest in size of all available races;
2. Women have a much larger jaw;
3. They are mainly found in the woods.

Undead

1. Unlike other races, they do not have skin or muscles, they are living skeletons;
2. They usually wear armor;
3. They mostly reside in dungeons.

Frogman

1. The character has no hair;
2. They've got big gouged eyes.
