In Cube World you will find 26 mounts. They are pets that can serve you as mounts. They are helpful in exploring the vast lands.
How to mount a pet?
In order to ride a mount, you must meet the following requirements:
- Tame your pet by feeding it with the right food;
- Make friends with the mount and get riding points;
- Set the mount as the active Pet. The pet will follow you constantly;
- Face your companion and click the appropriate button (default is R key).
How to dismount?
In order to get off the mount in Cube World, you need to do one of the following interactions:
- Perform one of the available attacks;
- Make a dodge;
- Use skills requiring movement;
- Fall from a high height;
- Activate a boat or an aircraft.
Remember that your pet will respawn after death. You don't have to worry about losing it.
Thirst counter
Each of the mounts in Cube World has a thirst meter that determines its endurance. The water level decreases gradually and this depends on how long you ride it.
If the pet gets thirsty, you must give them water. You can do this by swimming in the ocean or standing in a puddle of water.
When the animal's thirst counter gets depleted, it can no longer be ridden, but the pet will continue to follow you and attack your enemies as a sidekick.
