Take the knife.
After the awakening you will see a knife on the ground. Talk to it couple of times and it will appear in your equipment. Go to the next location.
Approach the breach.
Approach the breach. Recover glass orb from it. It will cause the breach to repair itself. Now, approach the pipe and use the knife on it. Getting a piece of the pipe, come to the machine and use the pipe on it. Combine the elements. The next step will be climbing the wall and cutting off the rest of the pipe. Connect it to the machine.
Collect the hand.
