On this page of the Battlefield 2042 guide, you can view rules of Hazard Zone, which is one of the game modes present in the game. .
Hazard Zone is a new mode which hasn't appeared in the previous installments of the series. Once you choose to start a game in this mode, you'll be taken to the preparation panel. Here you can choose your specialist and loadout. Note - in this mode, your specialist needs to be unique - two players cannot choose the same specialist. Moreover, certain loadout options are available only if you've paid a certain amount of currency valid only in this mode. You receive it for every played match.
After the preparation phase, you will be taken to the map. There you will see the most important areas and their characteristics. It will let you know how many data drives can be captured here and what resistance to expect. Moreover, you'll see where your team will be dropped.
After deployment, your task is simple - collect data drives and escape with them by boarding one of two transports. In reality, this is where its gets hard. After dying, you can only be revived in special areas or by using optional team equipment. If no one initiates the sequence, you won't return to the game during this match. In addition, when the process of bringing you back takes place, the other teams are notified and can attack.
When all the team members die, the match is over for you. Therefore, avoids staying in open areas, as out there you are an easy target for your enemies.
Your goal is to obtain data drives. Of course, getting them is not easy, as they may be guarded by occupying forces (AI-controlled opponents). Moreover, you may find yourself competing with other teams for the same data drive.
After you got what you came for, you need to be at the evacuation point at the right time so you can leave with your loot.
