On this page of the guide to Battlefield 2042 you can find characteristics of Breakaway - a map appearing in the game.
Breakaway takes place at Queen Maud Land in Antarctica. A huge ice-bound map with a very diverse terrain.
Zones A and B are located on relatively flat ground. There you will find a huge storage area and a drilling platform. Here you can fight at close range or assume a sniping position on one of the buildings. The chances of dying are pretty much the same.
Zone D, on the other hand, is surrounded by huge blocks of ice. You can easily hide behind them, but there is still a chance that you will be flanked. Moreover, the distances between the individual blocks make it difficult to remain unnoticed.
Zones E and F are mountaineous areas. Here, snipers have the advantage, easily observing the relatively open terrain (and the area around point D). Your best bet is to use a vehicle.
Zone C is hard to describe, as it is located at a narrow pass leading into the mountains, which is the easiest route for vehicles to enter Zone E. As a result, this will be the place where the most fierce vehicle combat takes place. Unless you're armed with an anti-tank weapon, it's extremely dangerous to be in this area.
