Credits (called ucred) are crucial in The Ascent. You can buy new weapons with them, stock up on better armor, or get stronger tactical grenades. Credits are also needed to quickly travel and reset the character's skills. In addition, you can use them in vending machines to get healing items or vials regenerating tactics or energy points. This page of the guide contains the best ways to make money. Our tips will help you get as many credits as possible.
World exploration
The basic way to earn money is careful exploration of the game world. The map is filled with all sorts of containers, which you can loot for creds. You can smash some of the containers, but others have to be manually opened. Other than that, you can also loot vehicles. They also include creds often. It's worth looking into every corner of the corridors and visiting all the available buildings. There, you will find not only the mentioned containers and boxes, but also valuable items lying around.
Trade
This method has to do with exploration. It's simple: sell unused items. Stuff you can sell be found literally everywhere – in buildings, crates or vehicles. In addition, killed enemies will drop a ton of weapons and armors. Try to collect everything you find if you need more money - your character's equipment is unlimited.
You can sell unnecessary items at any vendor - you can find buyers of any type in all friendly locations. It doesn't matter if you choose an arms dealer or an armor dealer - the merchants accept everything. Of course, the better quality the items are, the more credits you get.
Completing missions
You will also earn money by way of completing missions. Going through the campaign, i.e. completing the main tasks, will earn you a lot of credits. Remember, however, that in The Ascent, there are also side quests. Their completion is not necessary to finish the game, of course, but they are a good source of income.
