Ace Combat 7 has two handling modes. In "expert", fighter jets are controlled like in real life - tilting an analog stick to the side or pressing "right" or "left" on the keyboard only rotates your aircraft around its axis. To turn, you need to tilt the analog stick down or press the button that allows you to fly upwards.

The "standard" mode is for those who play on the easiest difficulty or are using only a keyboard. The "expert" mode is great when you have a flight stick - in this handling mode, even a gamepad can cause you problems. However, the "expert" mode gives you the biggest freedom in maneuvering your aircraft in dogfights or when you are avoiding missiles.

In the standard mode, your aircraft will only tilt slightly to a side. You cant do a full barrel roll. - The differences between standard and expert handling modes in Ace Combat 7 - For beginners - Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown Guide
