Basic Info

1. The following chapters contain a detailed walkthrough of the storyline of the game.
2. The game says clearly what is your current task. In case of trouble, open the map and proceed to the pink marker to continue the main storyline.
3. Remember to develop your hero and use every opportunity to eat. Look for those skills that increase the amount of gathered experience points.
4. The main menu contains an option called Memories which offers a recall of the story of the previous installments of the series. It's a great way of refreshing your memory. Alternatively, you can use the option to receive a quick introduction to the world of Yakuza.
5. The guide was written while playing on the default difficulty level (Normal).
6. The descriptions of the tasks contain the amount of awarded experience points. Remember that the point value of the tasks may differ slightly - everything depends on whether you've developed the skills that increase the number of the gathered experience points.
7. Remember that aside from the main storyline, there is a multitude of side quests found around the town. Aside from side quests, you can take part in numerous minigames or simply explore the city.

Prologue

1. You begin the game with a cut-scene where Kiryu is sitting at a bar. After a moment, the hero is provoked to fight. Time for a short tutorial that will teach you how to fight.
2. You'll learn how to block, dodge, and perform attacks. Your opponent is Tsuyoshi Nagumo - you'll encounter him more than once during the whole game.
3. When you've defeated your opponent, Kiryu will return to the bar. We learn that he is... traveling with a toddler!

1. Time for a very long intro sequence that depicts the finale of the previous installment. After the final fight, Kazuma lands in the hospital.
2. You are now standing before a short, interactive cut-scene. While unconscious, Kiryu will dream about the most important characters from the Yakuza universe. You can approach any of the characters to learn their names and their influence on the life of the main character.
3. The disappearance of Haruka, a mysterious fire... The game begins with a lot of questions that will be answered in the course of the game. In the meantime, Kiryu gets out from prison after a three-year sentence, beginning the gameplay itself.
