Scene 3 - Refinery

Scene walkthrough:

It's very important that you use nearby equipment crates to rearm yourself, especially since you weren't given that chance before. Head on to your left. You won't encounter any terrorists here, so you may keep moving forward. Proceed to the opposite end of a large tunnel (screen) and eventually you'll end up standing inside a new room.

You won't have to explore this room. Instead, proceed towards a designated computer terminal and use it. Once this is done, press the crouch key IMMEDIATELY. Take cover here and make sure that you're looking at a nearby closed door. Enemy soldiers will try assaulting this room by destroying the door. I would recommend using your thermal goggles, so you won't have any problems locating them (screen). Prevent them from entering this room, because that would make your progress more difficult.

Now you should take your time and kill other terrorists. You are being attacked by two gunners. Killing the one to the right of the terminal is more difficult. In both cases you should wait for them to start reloading their turrets before attacking them. Ignore the soldiers from the street level. You'll deal with them later on during the course of this mission.

Start moving towards a destroyed door. You will have to be extremely careful here, because you'll end up getting shot at from several directions. Start off by eliminating terrorists standing in front of you. Also, watch out for an explosive barrel which they'll probably push towards your room (screen). Destroy the barrel before it's too close.

You will also have to secure one of the upper balconies, because a terrorist is hiding there and he would be able to injure your character. Leave the server room and hide somewhere to your right (screen). I would recommend that you focus your attention on securing the area around white vans. It would be a good idea to use grenades during these fights.

Try getting closer to the stairs. You should notice that more enemy troops are heading your way, so you must hide behind one of the nearby pillars (screen). I would recommend that you use a sniper rifle to get rid of the terrorists, especially since none of them will probably get closer to the stairs. Change cover often, so you'll be able to secure this entire area.
