Chapter 12 | Scenario 1 Sims Life Stories Guide

We'll start off in the exact same spot. Head on to the house (#1). You will have to take care of the basic needs of your characters. Notice that you'll be able to control Mickey's actions from now on. Leave the financial stuff for latter, especially since you won't have to worry about the money for the time being. Nevertheless, I wouldn't recommend quitting your job, especially if Riley has been promoted several times. Before you decide to do anything else, you will be greeted by aunt Sharon (#2). You will receive two presents from her - a luxurious bed and... the entire house! Thanks to that, you won't have to worry about her and you'll be able to focus on the remaining objectives.

Goal: Get pregnant (+500 Aspiration)

First of all, you should take your time and read the instructions by clicking on the goal button (#1). You will find out more about what exactly needs to be done. I would recommend that you replenish needs bars of your characters before you decide to proceed with the main goal. Nevertheless, you should open the gift window. As you've probably noticed, you have received a luxurious bed from aunt Sharon. Put it in your bedroom (#2). You can sell the old bed, as you won't need it anymore.

Keep working on the needs bars (#1). This is very important, because otherwise getting pregnant would probably take more than one attempt. Make sure that you've done everything according to the plan, so you'll be able to finish up with this objective the same day, without having to wait for anything else. As for the energy bar, I would recommend using a coffee machine, so your characters won't have to go to sleep. You can also watch some TV for comfort and fun. There's also a hot tub in the gift menu. You could put it in your garden, especially since you'll be able to increase its environment rating.

Make sure that everything is ready and that your main characters are happy. Choose one of your characters and click on the bed. You will have to press the Relax button (#1). Choose the second character and do the same thing. The goal here is to have them lying on the bed (#2).

You could proceed with the pregnant process right away, however in some cases (lower relationship status) it won't be possible. If this has happened, you would have to choose some of the other actions from the menu. Cuddle seems like a good idea (#1). Thankfully, it shouldn't take too long. Open the menu once again and choose Try For Baby (#2).

A funny cut-scene should appear on your screen (#1). If you have played "Sims 2" before than you shouldn't be surprised by what happens next. You shouldn't have any other problems helping Riley to get pregnant (#2). She will find out about this in a couple of days, so you will have to be patient, because you won't be able to proceed with the next objective right away.

Like I've said before, you will have to wait for something new to happen. Meanwhile it would be a good idea to return to the usual stuff. Riley will probably have to go to work, so make sure that she's ready (#1). The same goes with Mickey, however he should have a few days off. Additionally, he's only got about fives hours of work. You could try and help him to get a promotion, however this won't be necessary. It's very important that your main characters spend some time together (#2). Thankfully, you should be able to organize their time without any major problems.

The first symptoms of being pregnant should appear very soon (#1). You will have to be very patient here. Make sure that Riley's needs are being satisfied, so she'll be happy and entertained. You should also receive a confirmation that she has been placed on maternity leave (#2). This means that you won't have to go to work, BUT you'll be receiving money every day. Nevertheless, I wouldn't recommend spending all money on unnecessary things.

Goal: Prepare a room for the baby (+750 Aspiration)

This new mission objective should appear just after you've received a confirmation about the maternity leave (#1). I'm sure that you're going to have some problems understanding what has to be done here. You won't have to modify the living room. Instead, you should be able to find a small room that's located near the bedroom (#2).

Make sure that you have read the instructions, so you will know what has to be done. Open the buy window. You will have to acquire certain things: Magical Mystery's "Shappe, Rattle & Roll", Rip Co. Wobbly Wabbit Head, Rip Co. Xylophone (#1), Sanitation Station Baby Changing Table and The Kinder Kontainer (#2).

You should be able to fit all of these objects in the new room (#1). I'm sure that you won't have any other problems here. You could also buy other objects for your new baby. This won't be necessary, but it might help. Choose some of the available curtains. You will also be able to find some other toys. These objects aren't too expensive, so you should be able to afford them without having to worry about your current budget. Once this is done, the game should automatically close this mission objective (#2). Otherwise you wouldn't be able to proceed with the next goal.

As you've probably noticed, a belly of our future mom has expanded (#1). You will also have to modify a day plan for Riley, especially when it comes to going to the bathroom (#2). Notice that it only takes a few hours to deplete the bladder bar. She will eat a lot and need more sleep. Thankfully, you won't have to go to work, so you shouldn't have any problems helping her to satisfy all basic needs. Additionally, make sure that the fridge has been refilled to maximum.

Goal: Throw a party for at least three guests (+1000 Aspiration)

Once you've prepared a room for your new baby, you should be able to proceed with this new task (#1). Throwing a party will require you to have at least three friends or colleagues. The objective will be to invite them to the party. Thankfully, you can have less than three friends. Some of them may refuse to go to your party, however you won't have to be worried about that. Make sure that you're ready for the party. You will have to use one of your phones. Head on to the Throw Party section (#2). Now you will have to choose House Party. Wait for one of your main characters to use the phone.

A new window should appear on your screen (#1). You shouldn't have any problems figuring out what has to be done here. You must choose at least three people from the left list. Use the arrows to invite them to the party (they will appear in the right field). You should also receive an answer about who's coming and who's not (#2). You will probably be able to invite two friends to the party. That's enough.

Meanwhile you should consider taking care of several other things. First of all, Mickey should be wearing a suit. You won't have to change dresses for Riley. Just make sure that she's wearing a standard everyday outfit. Now you should consider buying a new stereo (#1). You should also acquire a buffet (#2) or a busbar, however you would have to find enough space to place these items in the living room.

Important! Once you've acquired a buffet, you will have to fill it with food. You can do this by clicking on this object and choosing the available action (#1). You shouldn't have any problems doing that. Some of the first guests will arrive very soon (#2). Make sure that your main characters are focused only on throwing the party. They shouldn't be doing anything else at the moment.

Now you will be able to proceed with the main goal - entertaining your guests and satisfying all of their needs. The first step would be to ask someone to dance with Mickey (#1). Obviously, you will have to use the stereo in order to be able to hear music. You can also play darts (#2). As for the other things, make sure that the buffet is ready and in the living room. Your guests should start using it automatically, so you won't have to ask them to do this.

You could also buy other things (#1) that would allow you to have fun with the guests. A video game seems like a good idea (#2), especially if you have a plasma TV in your living room. You should have a lot of money on your account, so spending some cash shouldn't be much of a problem. You probably won't have any problems entertaining the guests. Bear in mind, however, that they should be happy for at least a few minutes. Either way, you will be to advance to the next step.

I had to deal with the childbirth during the party (#1). As a result, I didn't have to worry about keeping the guests happy, because that objective would end on its own. A new cut-scene should appear on your screen (#2).

Our main characters are going to have a baby (#1). This is where this entire scenario comes to an end. This means that you won't be given any additional tasks, because that was the end of the final chapter. You will have to wait for the game to reload this entire map. As a result, you will return to the Classic Mode (#2). This means that you won't have to worry about new missions. Instead, you'll focus on the free play. You may continue playing the game or head on to the second scenario. Congratulations!
