Near the bell you will find a bone key. Take it and go back to the corridor with the clock. Then use the second exit from the corridor.

You will enter a room seen on the picture. Don't touch anything, only use the next door.

You will enter another corridor. Enter the first room on the right.

Use the key you found to open the bone closet marked on the screen.

Once it is open, click it a few times with LMB. Your character will learn some things about arcane powers. It will be important during his mission.
