1. Shake trees to obtain seeds!
This is a perfect way to obtain new seeds at the beginning of the game. What is interesting, within the first 2 weeks of autumn, trees will drop Hazelnuts.
2. When they are ripe, you can leave the fruits of your work on the rows
Keep watering them and they will, possibly, turn into large vegetables (this requires, at least 3x3 segmentation)!
3. Put torches on your furniture!
Fences, the floor and even furniture - you can put torches on them, if you need more light.
4. Paths and scarecrows protect from gales!
If you want to protect your crops, form paths around your rows (of wood or stone). Thanks to this, wood scattered around your plot will not spoil your crops. Also, remember to put a scarecrow in place!
5. Fishing is possible not only in water!
Try in swamps or lava!
6. In Spring, plant strawberries!
On the 13th there is an event called Egg Festival, where you can buy strawberries - they are the most profitable fruit in Spring. Remember to buy them right after entering the venue and prepare rows for them beforehand, because the event ends late at night. Plant strawberries on the same day to harvest them twice before the end of Spring.
7. In the options menu, activate "Placement Tile Indicator"
Thanks to this, you will know exactly what you are hitting with your hoe.
8. watch TV every day!
There are dedicated programs that will let you learn new recipes.
9. Build a SILO to collect hay for animals
While mowing grass, you will be collecting it as hay for your flock automatically.
10. The collected SAP items will be useful as fertilizers.
While cutting down trees, you collect sap - juices of the tree that you can use as fertilizer.
11. Buy a calendar to monitor dates, such as birthdays and festivities
You can buy one from Robin (the carpenter) for 2000g. Hang it in your house, thanks to which you will know about the incoming venues.
12. If you spot worms on the soil...
... hit them with the hoe! You will loot several items.
13. Seeds are cheaper in Pierre's store...
They are cheaper than in Jojamart mall. Apart from that, it is better to support local economy, isn't it?
14. If you leave the tree stump in place, the tree will re-grow.
This is an excellent thing to do, if you require wood - after 10 days, trees will grow back, so you can farm trees.
15. The 3x3 segmentation (9 fields) yields profit.
There is a chance that a fairy will appear, who will turn your seedlings into mature plants, or into large fruits!
16. After rainfall, you will always find new items on the beach.
Rains not only water your crops for you, but they also spawn new random items on the beach.
17. Quality of items is represented by the color of the star.
No star -> silver star -> gold star -> iridium star. The better the star, the better the item.
18. Animals don't die.
Even if you forget to feed them. But some of them stop yielding their products and lose their hearts.
19. You can replay a given day.
If you have missed something, or ran out of time, you can simply re-load the game. Stardew Valley saves the game only when you go to sleep at night.
20. Remember about your pet?
If you forget to fill the dog bowl... this will not change anything, but hey - we are humans, after all, right?
