General Tips | Basics Sacred 2: FA Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
- At the beginning of the game, during character creation, you can learn in which skill every type of character is good at. If you are the beginner then better stick to this.
- One character is bound with one campaign. You cannot change it later.
- Do not exaggerate with developing of combat arts. If the level will be too high the cooldown time will be too long and the ability won't be so effective. In addition it cannot be changed later in the game.
- Total amount of experience points depends on many things: character level (higher level means you will get less experience points for killing the same opponents but more for quests), level of the opponent (higher = better), type of the opponent (normal, champion, boss), specie (orcs are worth more than goblins), bonus for living (it depends when our character were killed for the last time, you cannot stand still to regenerate this parameter), map (the more places you have discovered the more experience points you will get) and additional bonuses (potion, temples, etc.).
- If you are playing in hardcore mode it is better to invest in defensive skills
- Mounts can be used without the riding ability. They are weaker in fight but the speed is the same.
- Maximum level of attack speed and combat arts is 150%, so there is no sense to invest more points in it.
- Do not throw away low level set items. In future you can find the rest of the set and rubbish items may become a very powerful ones.
- Relics can be used in two ways. You can make sets for every kind of damages or just one universal - with 3 relics. The first one is more effective, but you be careful to change sets in fight. The second one is theoretically worse, but you don't have to worry about it. It is also better when you encounter many types of enemies at once.
- Before the boss fight drink Mentor Potion.
- Remember to pick up all items. You can sell them by clicking left mouse button with control. Gold will be useful later, for sure.
- Items from enemies are player bounded but only for a short period of time. Later you can trade them (or simply give to another players).
- Escort quests are very difficult. NPCs are very stupid and they attacking every enemy that is on sight. Some of the NPCs are immortal, but others nor and they can be easily killed. You have to be quick to heal them with spells or potions.
