Cards Paladins Guide
Last update: 17 January 2017
To add some variety to the game, the creators introduced a card system that influences the abilities of your heroes. Using them you can customize a hero to your preferences, or to make him fit better with the rest of the team. This move introduces some variety to your performance, as well as the opponents you'll encounter. The cards are somewhat of a collectors' item which at the same time brings some variety to the game. Each hero has a certain number of cards that he can employ to his advantage. The cards have been divided into categories, each influencing a different ability of a hero (excluding the basic attack).
- Cards modifying the first ability
- Cards modifying the second ability
- Cards modifying the third ability
- Cards influencing the weapon (offensive) and armor (defensive)
These cards can be found in chests that are bought in the shop or received for free after reaching the next profile level. Cards can also be created for gold - the main currency of each profile. The game also contains cards that can be acquired for credits during the game. They influence the offensive and defensive abilities of a hero, and were divided into following categories:
- Attack
- Defense
- Healing
- Utility Cards
Remember that you can only acquire one card from each category, which is then upgraded in next rounds of the match, so choose wisely, keeping the performance of your team in mind.
How to Read a Card
Each card contains basic info that will allow you to determine whether it is useful to you. The screenshot above marks all the important areas of the card, while the descriptions can be found below.
- Tier - The game recognizes 4 tiers, marked with following colors: Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary.
- The name of the card and the ability which it modifies.
- The card's description.
- The number of points that you need to spend to put this card into your deck.
- Cooldown period - if there is one.
Creating a Deck
To create a deck, switch to Heroes and choose any of them. As you can see on the above screenshot, a full deck consists of 5 cards, while the combined cost cannot exceed 12 points. Each tier has a different value:
- Common - 1 points
- Rare - 2 points
- Epic - 3 points
- Legendary - 4 points
The deck can be saved after allocating a whole set of points. Once you've prepared a few decks, you can change them during a match.
