Xbox Game Pass PC Price Equalization

Microsoft has announced the end of Xbox Game Pass subscription tests on PC. Thus, soon we will pay for the service as much as on consoles. The expansion of All Access subscription to 12 additional countries was also confirmed.

The Xbox Game Pass on PC will soon come out of the beta, and with it the subscription price will increase.

Over the past several months, the Xbox Game Pass has attracted millions of players, driving game sales along the way. This was largely due to the very low cost of subscriptions on PCs, especially for the first month. However, we will soon have to say goodbye to this attractive price. Microsoft informed on Twitter that the test period of the Xbox Game Pass service on PC will end on September 17. Then it will become "generally available", which - unfortunately - will be associated with a price increase. From next week, we will pay $9.99 (instead of $4.99) for one month of subscription on PCs. With this move, the prices on PC and consoles have beed equalized.

As a consolation we have two information. First of all, if you already have purchased access to the Xbox Game Pass, you will still pay $4.99 when billing for the next month after this announcement. In addition ,it has been confirmed that Xbox All Access will appear in 12 additional countries. This will happen with the debut of Xbox Series X consoles and Xbox Series S. The subscription is paid for 24 months and gives access to Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold subscriptions, and enables us to upgrade Xbox One to Xbox Series X after the launch of the new console on November 10 (and paying All Access for 12-18 months depending on the XONE version). More details about Xbox All Access will be available soon.

Let's recall that the Game Pass subscription is available in three versions: on PCs, Xbox One family consoles and the Ultimate version combining the first two solutions. After paying for a monthly subscription, the suggested price of which is $4.99 (PC, only until September 17) or $9.99 (consoles), we get the possibility to download dozens of games included in the constantly updated library of new and slightly older titles, as well as a discount on shopping in the Microsoft Store. If you haven't used the Xbox Game Pass yet, you can buy the Ultimate subscription for as little as $1 for the first month (here).Game Pass subscribers also get all exclusive productions from Microsoft's in-house dev teams such as Ninja Theory and 343 Industries on the day of release.
