Xbox Cloud Gaming to Debut on Xbox One and Xbox Series in December
Phil Spencer hopes you were good. Microsoft's show at gamescom revealed that cloud gaming will be coming to 8th and 9th-gen consoles this December. The feature will enable us to play next-gen titles, even on last-gen consoles.
Xbox doesn't stop spoiling the gamers: Game Pass subscription, announcements of strong exclusives or developing Xbox Cloud Gaming - a service that enables us to play games in the cloud on selected devices. Microsoft's game streaming service has been available on our smartphones and computers for some time, and now it's finally time for it to appear also on the company's consoles. Fortunately, we will not have to wait long for it, because the service will be delivered along with other gifts under the Christmas tree.
Xbox Cloud Gaming will enable owners of older consoles from the Xbox One family to enjoy the latest games available on Xbox Series X/S - like The Medium - without having to buy new hardware. The service supports 1080p video streaming on all devices, with 60 fps and low latency.
Testing the service as part of the Xbox Insider program will begin in the fall. Users with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription will get the opportunity to play more than 100 productions in the cloud from their console. Streaming will also enable us to immediately join the games of our friends - just after receiving an invitation and without having to waste time in the main menu.
What more can be said... Owners of Microsoft's consoles can really expect happy holidays.
