Black Myth: Wukong, an action RPG developed on Unreal Engine 5 inspired by Chinese folklore, promises to be one of the most important launches of this year. Players waiting for this title should be pleased with the news that the game has just reached gold status. This means that the work has been finished and there should be no concerns about any delays (the Cyberpunk 2077 case was a rare exception to this rule).

The developers announced that a new game trailer will debut on August 8, while boasting about achieving Gold status. At the same time, the devs are afraid of information leaks and spoilers, which suggests that journalists and influencers will soon receive the game. Therefore, they ask fans to refrain from spreading leaks, so as not to spoil the fun for themselves and other players.

The game is eagerly anticipated - it currently has over 579,000 followers on Steam, making it the most sought-after title on Valve's platform. So the expectations are huge and we are curious whether the devs will be able to meet them.

The premiere of Black Myth: Wukong will take place on August 20th this year. On that day, the game will be released only on PC and PlayStation 5. It is also planned to be released on Xbox Series S and X, but it will debut at a later, currently unspecified date.

The reason for the delay is unknown. Some players speculate that the issues may be due to problems with optimizing the version for Microsoft's weaker console. Rumors also appeared that the developers might have signed a timed exclusivity agreement with Sony.
