Wondering about crossplay in Wreckfest 2? All you need to know about it

Wreckfest 2 was released as early access title last week. So, now you can take part in races where an essential element is the destruction of your opponents. Of course, you can invite friends to the game. However, do they have to play on PC?

Wreckfest 2 is a racing game, where destruction is a central part of the adventure. Of course, you can play with bots, but it’s pretty obvious that competition with people is way more fun. So, you can invite your friends with PC to join you.

However, what about people who play on consoles? In that case the answer is simple. They can’t (at least for now). Wreckfest 2 doesn’t have crossplay support because the game is available in early access only on PC (via Steam). We even still don’t know when exactly console ports will appear.

While there are some chances for crossplay, don’t be too optimistic. Moderators on the official Discord channel speculate that Wreckfest 2 can receive this feature in the future, but they are far from being sure themselves. On the other hand, the first installment of the series has only partial crossplay which worked between different PC stores.

Wreckfest 2 doesn’t have particularly high hardware requirements. Additionally, this game is optimized very well. So, even if you have an older computer, you may be able to run this title.
