Isometric Warhammer 40,000 RPG Looks Better and Better; Beta Release Date
At the Warhammer Skulls 2023 festival, we learned the start date for beta testing of the RPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader and saw a new trailer for the game.
Warhammer Skulls 2023 is now behind us. Among the games shown (or at least announced) were not only a new MMO and Space Marine sequel, but also Rogue Trader, which will go into beta testing on June 1. Participation in the beta will be reserved for those who preorder the game.
Owlcat Games has also released a new trailer for its isometric RPG, in which we will play the role of a merchant acting for the glory of the Emperor. You can watch the footage below.
The trailer briefly discusses the game's protagonists, from a party consisting of the "most unique" citizens of the Empire (servants of the Inquisition, Space Marines, as well as aliens) to their adversaries (including Nekrons, the Eldar and all Chaos forces). Gameplay footage presenting the interface was also shown, albeit it represents only a small part of the entire video.
In addition, the developer once again showed off the collector's edition of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. It will include extras like a figurine of navigator Cassia Orsellio, a flag and a book with illustrations from the game. These and other bonuses are shown in the graphic below.
Unfortunately, the disclosed information did not include the game's release date. We can only hope that the developers will not make us wait too long (and that the game itself will prove to be worthwhile). The title is currently heading exclusively for PC.
Owlcat Games is a Russian studio. The company was originally founded in Moscow, and moved most of its operations to Cyprus in 2022.
