Endless Feast for RPG Fans; Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader Launching This Year
The second half of 2023 is a never-ending holiday for fans of isometric RPGs. We've just learned that the already strong lineup will gain Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, the latest title from acclaimed studio Owlcat Games, in December.
The end of the year promises to be excellent for fans of isometric RPGs. Barely yesterday we learned that in November we will see the debut of Broken Roads - a title inspired by the first installments of Fallout - and today studio Owlcat Games announced the December release of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.
The developers behind the acclaimed Pathfinder series have released a trailer online (below), from which we learn that the game from the Warhammer 40,000 universe will be released on December 7.
As if that wasn't enough, it was also revealed that the game will debut on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at the same time. (it was previously suggested that the game would first be released only on PC).
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, like previous games from Owlcat Games, will offer:
- an isometric perspective from which we will control the party;
- companions with unique stories behind them;
- challenging combat, taking place in a turn-based system;
- numerous quests, which, like in any full-fledged RPG, can be solved in many ways - not only by brute force.
The latest work of Owlcat Games will be set in the Koronus sector, a region of space poorly explored in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Players will take on the role of a space merchant and explorer who, by virtue of a special document, will be able to expand the borders of the Empire.
Owlcat Games is a Russian studio. The company was originally founded in Moscow, and moved most of its operations to Cyprus in 2022.
