CoD Vanguard and Cold War are Top-selling Games in US

Games from the Call of Duty series were the best-selling titles of last year in the US. The ranking also included Battlefield 2042, Resident Evil: Village and Far Cry 6.

If you've been wondering why Activision Blizzard was purchased by Microsoft for such a large sum of money, last year's game sales figures in the US might be a good explanation. According to a report by the NPD Group (via IGN), the publisher's games took the top two positions on the list of most popular titles.

We are, of course, talking about the subsequent installments of Call of Duty i.e. Vanguard (1st place) and Black Ops: Cold War (2nd place). As you can see, the famous brand still dominates the American market and the competition is unable to threaten its position.

The third place is taken by Madden NFL 22. The next spot on the list was occupied by Pokemon: Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl, which are remakes of iconic productions from 2006, which debuted as Pokémon Diamond / Pearl at the time.

The following spots are occupied by games like Battlefield 2042, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales or Resident Evil: Village. Outside the top ten we find Far Cry 6, FIFA 22, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla and the ever-living Minecraft. The full list of best-selling games can be found in the table below.
